We have been taking digital pictures since smartphones became popular in the late 2000s. By default, most of us are running out of the free storage we were allotted over twenty years ago.

You might not even know you're running out of storage until you go to take a picture and get an alert that says your phone is full. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially if you're trying to capture a special moment. 

You might think you can free up storage by cleaning up your photo stream but this can be incredibly time-consuming and within a few days or weeks, you will probably end up right back where you started... with an alert that says your "storage is full."
