Live Photos 📸
Oct 23, 2025Have you ever noticed how some of your photos include people talking or a bit of movement, almost like a super short video?

- iPhone: In the Camera app, tap the circle icon (rippling circles) in the top right corner to turn on or off.
- Android: In the Camera app, tap the motion photo icon (a circle with play arrows) to turn on or off.
📍 Where to find your Live Photos:
- iPhone/Apple Photos Users: Open Apple Photos > Find and open the "Media Types" menu > Click on the "Live Photos" section > Open a picture and hold down on the center to show motion that was recorded.
- Google Photos Users (iPhone or Android): Open Google Photos > Click the "Search" menu in the bottom right corner > Type in "Motion Photos" > Open any of the photos that populate and it will automatically show the motion recorded.
đź’ˇ FAQs:
- Can I make a Live Photo a still image? Yes! You can choose the best frame (like when everyone’s eyes are open) and save it as a static photo.
- Do Live Photos take up more space? Yes, they’re similar in size to a short video. If you’re low on storage, consider turning this feature off.
- Can I edit a Live Photo? Absolutely! You can trim the motion, mute the sound, or apply filters just like a regular photo.
